Initial use: • Remove the packaging. • Check the device, power supply and cables for damage. • Connect the device to the mains power. The device must be switched off at this time. • Route the cable safely so that there is no risk of anyone tripping over it. • Switch on the device using the On/Off switch. • Place the applicator on the base station and insert the second wax cartridge into the separate heating chamber as shown in the image. • The indicator lamp flashes while heating is taking place. Once the wax has heated fully, the indicator lamp then remains continuously lit. This process lasts approx. 25–30 minutes. • As soon as the wax is hot, roll the wax roller until it rotates without any problems. • If you are using a warm wax hair remover for the first time, please refer to the instructions to ensure you are using it correctly. • In order to become accustomed to the hair removal system and to ensure that you are not allergic to it, it is preferable to start with a small area on the lower part of the leg. Then wait 24 hours before carrying out the complete hair removal process. • The skin must be clean and dry prior to carrying out hair removal. NOTE • The wax cartridge contains 50 ml wax. This quantity is sufficient for two half legs and a small number of follow-up treatments. The more practice you get the less wax you will need to use. • In order to ensure optimum hygiene and cleanliness, the wax roller and the warm wax cartridge have been designed for single use and must be disposed of following use. Doing so prevents infections and inflammations. • Never remove hair straight after a bath or shower; wait approx. two hours to ensure the skin is not irritated. • If you want to use a sunbed within 24 hours of carrying out hair removal, protect your skin by using suncream. Usage: • Apply the wax in the direction of hair growth, ensuring that the roller rotates and that the device is held at a 45° angle to prevent wax leaking out. • Insert the applicator onto the base station between uses to ensure that the wax retains its temperature and does not leak out. • The fabric strip must be laid on the skin immediately after the wax is applied. Lay the strip in the direction of hair growth, covering the entire area, to ensure that the strip sticks to the wax effectively. • Keep the skin taunt using your free hand and pull away the strip using a firm, backward movement, against the direction of hair growth and parallel to the surface of the skin. • Each paper strip can be used several times within each application. The more often the strip is used, the more firmly it will stick to the hair. • If the first cartridge has been used up, continue the hair removal process using the replacement cartridge. To do so, remove the cartridge from the chamber with caution, in order to avoid getting burnt, and insert this into the applicator. CAUTION • Only use the warm wax hair remover following the method described in this manual. Only use Beurer wax cartridges. • Do not treat any sensitive areas such as eyebrows, birthmarks, warts, open wounds, cuts, burns etc. • This device is not suitable for persons who suffer from diabetes, varicose veins or circulation problems, or persons who are prone to infections. • Do not use the wax on irritated skin. Do not apply the wax to areas to which other substances have already been applied. • Please do not use any wax on the face area, ear lobes, the inside of the ears, on nipples, or on irritated, cracked or sunburnt skin. • If any wax remains on the skin following hair removal, the strip must be reapplied, rubbed down firmly and pulled off. The remaining wax can also be carefully removed using oil wipes. • If you want to use the warm wax hair remover again, heat the wax until it is liquid. Hold the applicator downwards until the remaining wax is hot on the roller. If the wax does not completely liquefy, roll the wax roller along a fabric strip until the wax roller rotates completely. • Once you have completed the treatment, place the base device on the base station and leave the wax to cool. Always position the device upright, to ensure that the wax does not leak out. Cleaning and maintenance: WARNING • Disconnect the device before cleaning it. • Only clean the appliance in the manner specified. Fluid must never be allowed to enter into the device or accessories. • Do not use the device again until it is completely dry. • Do not clean the device in the dishwasher. • Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or hard brushes. First unplug the device and allow it to cool off. Then you can clean it with a soft, slightly moistened cloth. Then wipe it dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
